The 78th Academy Awards were held March 5, 2006 and were hosted by Jon Stewart.
"Crash" edged "Brokeback Mountain" for Best Picture and won a total of three Academy Awards.
"Brokeback Mountain" also won three awards, as did "Memoirs of a Geisha", and "King Kong."
