It was Carrie Underwood's night at the 2009 Academy of Country Music Awards held in Las Vegas. The singer won Entertainer of the Year for the first time and Top Female Vocalist for the third time. The large red gown she wore while performing "I Told You So" also caused a buzz.
Brad Paisley was a big winner as well, taking Top Male Vocalist, Video of the Year, and Vocal Event of the Year with Keith Urban.
Sugarland won Top Vocal Duo, breaking a 14 year run by Brooks and Dunn. Rascal Flatts won Top Vocal Group for the seventh year in a row.
