Mary J Blige won the most awards at the 2006 Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Thanks to her big album "The Breakthrough" Blige won most of the awards in the R&B/Hip-Hop category. Chris Brown (pictured) won Artist of the Year and Male Artist of the Year. Carrie Underwood and T.I. won five awards each.
Among the performers were Mary J Blige, Fergie, Nickelback and Janet Jackson. Britney Spears and Paris Hilton were reportedly scheduled to host, but did not.
