The finale of the Amazing Race 8 was broadcast on December 13, 2005. It was a close finish, but the Linz family from Cincinnati, Ohio completed the last puzzle and crossed the finish line in New York first. This was the first Amazing Race which used four family members as teams.
This edition of the race saw the teams spend most of their time in the United States.
