John Yarmuth wins 3rd District Race in Kentucky electionNov 7, 2006

Only members of Congress were up for election in Kentucky in 2006. Most of the incumbents won re-election, including landslide victories by Ben Chandler (DFL - 6th District) and Harold Rogers (GOP - 5th District).

In the 3rd District of Kentucky, Republican incumbent Anne Northrup was narrowly defeated by Democratic challenger John Yarmuth (pictured left).

Geoff Davis Incumbent (51%) REP
Also on the ballot: Ken Lucas (DFL - 44%); Brian Houillion (LIB - 5%)
Kentucky 5th District
Harold Rogers Incumbent (74%) REP
Also on the ballot: Kenneth Stepp (DFL - 26%)
Kentucky 6th District
Ben Chandler Incumbent (85%) DFL
Also on the ballot: Paul Ard (LIB - 15%)
