Maine Governor John Baldacci wins re-electionNov 7, 2006

In the 2006 Maine elections, incumbent Democrat Governor John Baldacci won re-election with 38% of the vote. Republican Senator Olympia Snowe was also re-elected to serve Maine in a landslide victory over Jean Hay Bright.

The two incubent Congressmen from Maine also easily won their elections in 2006. Thomas Allen in the 1st District received 61% of the vote, while Michael Michaud in the 2nd District received 70%.

Maine 2nd District
Michael H Michaud Incumbent (70%) DFL
Also on the ballot: Laurence D'Amboise (REP - 30%)
