Republican Jim Gibbons (pictured left) won a narrow victory over Dina Titus in the battle for the open Governor's seat in Nevada in 2006. Meanwhile Republican incumbent Senator John Ensign won re-election over DFL challenger Jack Carter.
The Republicans and Democrats both had one incumbent Representative, and both won re-election. An open seat in Nevada's 2nd District was won by Republican Dean Heller.
