Incumbent Republican Governor of South Dakota Mike Rounds (pictured left) easily defeated Democratic challenger Jack Billion.

Democrat Stephanie Herseth was South Dakota's incumbent Representative, and she also easily fended off her challenger - Republican Bruce Whalen.
