Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees was the runaway winner of the 2007 American League Most Valuable Player Award.
A-Rod, who led both leagues in home runs (54) rbi (156) and runs (143), was a near-unanimous selection. Rodriguez garnered 26 of 28 possible first place votes.
This was this third MVP award for Alex Rodriguez, who had previously won in 2003 with the Rangers and 2005 with the Yankees. It was the 20th time a Yankee has won the MVP.
