Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia was the runaway winner of the 2007 American League Rookie of the Year voting.

Pedroia, who batted .317 with 8 home runs and 50 RBIs, garnered 24 of the 28 first place votes. He also finished the season with a broken bone in his left wrist.

Pedroia became the sixth Red Sox to win the AL Rookie of the Year and the first since Nomar Garciaparra in 1997.

Tampa Bay outfielder Delmon Young finished second in the voting.
