The Chicago White Sox swept the Houston Astros four games to none to win the 2005 World Series. It was the first World Series title for the White Sox since 1917.
World Series MVP Jermaine Dye knocked in the only run of game four.
Manager Ozzie Guillen's team went 11-1 in the playoffs, including their last eight in a row.
