The Los Angeles Lakers, behind Finals MVP Kobe Bryant, returned to the top when they defeated the Orlando Magic 4 games to 1. It was the 15th championship for the Lakers franchise.
Bryant averaged 32.4 points and 7.4 assists in the finals.
