The Penn State Nittany Lions won the 2009 Men's Basketball NIT Tournament by defeating Baylor 69-63.

Jamelle Cornley scoreed 18 points and had seven rebounds to lead Penn State. Taylor Battle chipped in 12 points. Baylor was led in scoring by LaceDarius Dunn with 18 points.

The Baylor Bears were behind 62-50 with less than two minutes left in the game and made a rally - but they ran out of time.
