The Tennessee Lady Volunteers repeated as Women's NCAA Basketball Champions when they defeated Stanford 64-48 in Tampa, Florida.
The Lady Vols were led by All-American Candace Parker who scored 17 points and had nine rebounds in the contest.
It was the eighth overall championship for Tennessee and head coach Pat Summit.
Stanford had been on a 23-game win streak.
