Padraig Harrington wins the 2008 British OpenJul 20, 2008

Padraig Harrington won his second consecutive British Open in 2008. On the final day he overtook 53 yr old Greg Norman. Ian Poulter made a late charge.

Harrington made an eagle on 17 to clinch the victory and won by four strokes. Had Greg Norman held on, he would have been the oldest major champion in golf history.
