PGA: 2009 US Open

Lucas Glover wins the 2009 US OpenJun 22, 2009

The 2009 US Open was held during a rainy five days at Bethpage Black in New York.

Lucas Glover held off the competition to gain just his second career win and first major. He had never placed higher than 20th at a major before winning the US Open.

Phil Mickelson, David Duvall and Ricky Barnes all tied for second. Mickelson set a dubious record of placing second at the US Open five times.
