Stanley Cup
Lord Stanley's Cup is awarded each year to the National Hockey League's best of seven final round playoff series.
The oldest trophy competed for by pro athletes in North America, it was donated by Frederick Arthur, Lord Stanley of Preston in 1893.
It became the official NHL championship trophy in 1918.
