Auto Club Speedway
The Auto Club 500 is a NASCAR Nextel Cup race held every year since 1997 at the Auto Club Speedway (formerly known as the California Speedway).
From 1997-1999 the race was known as the California 500 Presented by NAPA. From 2000-2002 it was called the NAPA Auto Parts 500.
Carl Edwards was the most recent winner in 2008. Matt Kenseth had won the Auto Club 500 the previous two years.
