NASCAR stands for the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing. They sanction three racing series - the Sprint Cup (formerly NEXTEL Cup), the Busch Series, and the Craftsman Truck Series.
The Sprint Cup Series is the highest level of competition. Jimmie Johnson won the 2009 Sprint Cup.
