Jazil won the 138th running of the Belmont Stakes on June 10, 2006.
The field was lacking the Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro and Preakness winner Bernardini. Ridden by jockey Fernando Jara, Jazil ran the 1 1/2 mile track in 2:27.81.
Jazil's trainer was Kiaran McLaughlin and the owner was Shadwell Stable.
