Da' Tara wins the 140th Belmont StakesJun 7, 2008

Da' Tara lead wire to wire and won by 5 1/4 lengths at the 140th running of the Belmont Stakes. Ridden by jockey Alan Garcia, Da' Tara ran the 1 1/2 mile track in 2:29:65.

Overshadowing the win by Da' Tara was Big Brown's attempt at the Triple Crown. The horse that won the 2007 Kentucky Derby and Preakness ran third for a while, but then had nothing left and the jockey pulled him up to finish last.
