New York Marathon
The New York City Marathon is held annually in the fall. The course runs through the boroughs of New York City.
The first race was run in 1970 and was won by Garie Muhrcke.
More recently runners from Kenya have dominated by winning 7 of the last 11 races, including the 2007 winner Martin Lel - his second time winning the New York City Marathon.
