Roger Federer captured his third consecutive US Open title in 2006 with a four set win over Andy Roddick (6-2, 4-6, 7-5, 6-1).

The US Open win was Federer's third grand slam of 2006, and ninth overall. Roger Federer is the first man since Ivan Lendl to win the US Open three consecutive years.

The other two semi-finalists were Nikolay Davydenko and Mikhail Youzhny. The matchups and scores of the final four rounds are below.
