Roger Federer won his fifth consecutive men's singles title at Wimbledon in 2007 when he defeated Rafael Nadal in a grueling five-set match 7-6 (7), 4-6, 7-6 (3), 2-6, 6-2. He was the first since Bjorn Borg to win five in a row.
It was the 11th major title for Roger Federer, who now trails only Pete Sampras and Roy Emerson in career grand slam titles.
