The men's 15k cross country skiing event has been an Olympic event since 1924. From 1992-1998 it was a 10k race.
This event has been dominated by Scandinavian skiers over the years. Andrus Veerpalu of Estonia won Gold in both 2002 and 2006.
Hallgeir Brenden and Bjorn Daehlie of Norway have also won two gold medals in this event.
