Tom Brady was born August 3, 1977 in San Mateo, California and grew up watching Joe Montana at 49ers games. Brady was drafted by the Montreal Expos in the 18th round of the 1995 MLB draft, but went to the University of Michigan to play football.
At Michigan, Brady had to wait in line for his chance to play behind Brian Griese, but started for the Wolverines in 1998 and 1999 and excelled.
Tom Brady was not highly sought after in the 2000 NFL Draft, and was taken in the 6th round - ending up to be possibly the biggest draft bargain in NFL history. He first started for the Patriots in 2001 when Drew Bledsoe went down with an injury. Brady has since gone on to lead the Patriots to three Super Bowl victories. In the 2007 season, Tom Brady set the NFL record for touchdown passes in a season with 50.
Brady has been romantically linked to actress Bridget Moynahan and model Gisele Bundchen.
