Stewart Ernest Cink was born in Hunstville, Alabama. He played golf for Georgia Tech before turning pro in 1995.
Cink joined the PGA Tour in 1997. In 2004 he was fifth on the money list.
His first major came in 2009 at the British Open when he defeated a 59-year old Tom Watson in a playoff.
