LeBron James was born in Akron, Ohio in 1984. He attended St. Vincent–St. Mary High School in Akron. After high school he was selected number one overall in the 2003 NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
He was named NBA Rookie of the Year, became a perennial all-star, and won the NBA MVP Award in 2009.
