Zachary Harris Johnson was born in 1976 in Iowa City, IA and raised in Cedar Rapids. He played golf in high school for Regis High School and later for Drake University.
Zach Johnson turned pro in 1998. He topped the money list on the Nationwide Tour in 2003 which earned him a jump to the PGA Tour.
His first PGA Tour win was the 2004 BellSouth Classic. Johnson won his first major at the 2007 Masters.
