Peyton Manning

Peyton ManningMar 24, 1976 -

Peyton Manning was born March 24, 1976 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Manning pedigree is well documented. Peyton is the son of NFL quarterback Archie Manning and brother to Eli Manning.

Because of his father's huge success at Ole Miss, Peyton decided to attend the University of Tennessee where he set his own records and was 39-6 as a starter. He finished his degree in three years, but returned for his senior year of football eligibility. That year he finished second in the Heisman voting, and later was the first overall pick in the 1998 NFL draft.

The success of Peyton Manning has continued in his professional career with the Indianapolis Colts. He was the NFL MVP in 2003 (shared with Steve McNair) and 2004. Manning and the Colts finally broke through and won Super Bowl 41 - with Petyon Manning being named the MVP.
