by Michael Pollan
In his book "In Defense Of Food: An Eater's Manifesto" Michael Pollan's argument boils down to this: Eat food, not too much, and mostly plants.
Pollan argues that most of what we eat these days is not really food, but we're consuming it. Pre-packaged foods created by science with added nutrients are not the way to go.
By abandoning our "Western diet" we can escape chronic diseases, enrich our lives, and bring pleasure back to eating.
