"Lies. Betrayal. Sacrifice. How far will you take it?"
"The Departed" follows two recent Police Academy graduates on two very different paths. William Costigan (Leonardo DiCaprio) is working undercover with Irish mobster Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson) in order to gather evidence to bring him down. Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon) is an informer for Costello working in the police department. Each insider is working to disclose the other.
The screenplay for "The Departed" was written by William Monahan. The film was directed by Martin Scorsese.
