Clint Eastwood plays Walt Kowalski, a widower and Korean war veteran who holds on to the prejudice he developed over the years as he holds on to his home in a neighborhood which has seen a growing Hmong population.
A neighbor boy, Thao, is caught by Walt trying to steal his prize Gran Torino as part of a gang initiation. The two eventually form a bond as they get to know each other.
The screenplay for "Gran Torino" was written by Nick Schenk and the film was directed by Clint Eastwood.
