"Syriana" is a thriller about corruption in the oil industry that follows four parallel stories: CIA agent Bob Barnes (George Clooney), oil company attorney Bennett Holiday (Jeffrey Wright), a powerful emir of Emirate, and a Pakistani immigrant worker.
The CIA plots to kill the heir to an Emirate, but it fails and Barnes becomes the fall guy.
"Syriana" was written and directed by Stephen Gaghan, and was based on the book by Robert Baer.
