Christopher Maurice Brown was born May 5, 1989 in the small town of Tappahannock, Virginia. He was "discovered" at the age of 13 and moved to New York. Chris Brown signed with Jive records in 2004.
Chris Brown's self-titled debut album "Chris Brown" was very successful and produced the big number one hit, "Run It!". Also included on the Chris Brown album were "Yo (Excuse Me Miss)" and "Say Goodbye". The album garnered Chris Brown three Billboard Music Awards in 2006.
The acting bug has also bitten Chris Brown, who has appeared in a couple TV shows and appears in the film "Stomp the Yard" with Ne-Yo and others.
