Pink, a popular American singer and songwriter, was born Alecia Beth Moore in Doylestown, Pennsylvania on September 8, 1979.
She started writing lyrics and joined her first band in high school. At sixteen she was in a group called Choice with Chrissy Conway of the Christian group ZOEgirl. They signed with LaFace Records where Pink remained as a solo artist after Choice broke up.
Her debut album "Can't Take Me Home" went multi-platinum and her follow-up "M!ssundaztood" did even better. Pink's first number one song came in 2008 with "So What" from the album "Funhouse."
Pink had a short marriage to motocross racer Carey Hart and is involved with PETA.
